The Hainan Free Trade Port is gearing up for a historic milestone as island-wide special customs operations are set to launch on December 18. The new system will widen zero-tariff coverage and signal further opening up for international investment in tourism, modern services and high-tech industries.

Atlantis Sanya, a luxury resort brand from Dubai, opened in 2018, the same year the Hainan Free Trade Port was first proposed. The resort has grown alongside the FTP, becoming a landmark in Sanya's push toward global standards.
