If the current state of China-Japan relations persists for more than a year, a decrease of more than two trillion yen ($12.8 billion) in Chinese tourist spending can be expected, according to Hideo Kumano, chief economist of Dai-ichi Life Research Institute. He added that this would have a huge impact on Japan's tourism industry.
