Ukraine has agreed to a peace deal with only "minor details" yet to be resolved, CNN reported on Tuesday, citing a U.S. official.
"The Ukrainians have agreed to the peace deal. There are some minor details to be sorted out, but they have agreed to a peace deal," the official was quoted as saying.
However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said more work was needed.
"Following the meetings in Geneva, we see many prospects that can make the path to peace real. There are solid results, and much work still lies ahead," he said on social media on Tuesday.
U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll held talks with Russian officials in Abu Dhabi on Monday and Tuesday regarding the deal, according to a statement from the U.S. Army.
