The China Media Group (CMG) High-Quality Development Shanghai Project Launch Event was held on Wednesday at the Shanghai International Media Port, unveiling a series of high-quality development initiatives.

The conference announced strategic partnerships between CMG Shanghai Station and leading institutions, including Shanghai International Studies University and Shanghai Film Group. These collaborations aim to strengthen media innovation and cultural exchanges.

The launch also featured a suite of key financial and public service initiatives. In the financial sector, projects include the "CCTV Finance Powerhouse - Shanghai Financial Night" event in Shanghai Lingang, the new media program "The Bund Dialogue" aiming to gather global economic leaders and the "CMG Silver Economy Gala" focusing on elderly care. Simultaneously, the large-scale converged media program "Healthy China·Walking the World" launched it's Shanghai chapter, dedicated to promoting health awareness among citizens.

The event also emphasized CMG's global outreach, with the release of a 28-language trailer for "Blue Planet outside the Window," China's first 8K documentary filmed in space. Produced by the National Multilingual Dubbing Base in Shanghai, the film is slated for international release in 2026.

During the ceremony, International Media Port (Shanghai) Culture Development Co. signed agreements with four companies spanning telecommunications, finance, culture and technology. Ding Shenyang, chairman of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association, also donated a calligraphic artwork to the National Multilingual Dubbing Base in support of Chinese cultural exports.
