A stretch of white coral fragments blankets the shore of the Qionghai section of the Hainan Coastal Scenic Highway, where ocean breezes stir waves of milky turquoise. Known locally as the "Milk Sea," these clear, pale waters create a serene and unusual coastal landscape.
Located in Qionghai's Mengcaiyuan Village, the "Milk Sea" gets its name from the white coral stones scattered across its beach and the distinct milky-white color of its seawater. With the growing popularity of the Hainan Coastal Scenic Highway, these lesser-known scenic spots along the route are becoming new destinations for travelers exploring Hainan.
