China urged Japan to take concrete measures to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens and institutions in Japan, following reports of a rise in crimes targeting Chinese nationals. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said multiple recent incidents, including arrests of suspects by Japanese police, as well as online threats and harassment of Chinese diplomatic missions, have raised serious concerns.
