A severe hailstorm struck the southern Brazilian city of Erechim in Rio Grande do Sul on Sunday, injuring more than 200 people and damaging cars and rooftops. Local authorities said over 10,000 families were affected. Verified footage showed hailstones hitting a garden and pool. Civil Defense teams, firefighters, military brigades and volunteers are clearing debris and assessing losses.
