King Tupou VI of Tonga is on a state visit to China. Following his meeting with the Chinese president on Tuesday morning, the monarch and his wife visited the Museum of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Beijing. The King and Queen Nanasipauʻu walked through exhibitions covering the past 100 years of the Party and the country's journey – from revolution and war to modernization and prosperity. Tech-enhanced displays such as immersive cinemas and simulated rides were woven throughout the nearly two-hour tour, which concluded with a gift-giving ceremony.
