AERO Asia 2025 opened on Thursday at the Zhuhai International Airshow Center in Zhuhai, a coastal city in south China's Guangdong Province, bringing together 381 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions, including the United States, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom and France.

Under the theme "A New Era: Explore More," this year's expo features an integrated platform combining exhibition, conferences, competitions and events, showcasing breakthroughs across general aviation, eVTOL technologies and the fast-growing low-altitude economy.

This year's expo area has doubled compared to the inaugural event, expanding by 20,000 square meters to reach approximately 60,000 square meters. The number of aircraft on display has nearly doubled from around 90 to 174, with international exhibitors accounting for over 20 percent, according to Zhuhai Airshow Group Co., Ltd. Numerous companies involved in the low-altitude economy unveiled many debut exhibits, showcasing the vibrant innovation and strong momentum driving the global general aviation and low-altitude economic sectors.

The expo centers on the integrated development of general aviation and the low-altitude economy, with five themed zones covering rotorcraft, unmanned systems and low-altitude application scenarios, fixed-wing aircraft, aviation propulsion and supporting technologies. The event highlights new products, new technologies and new services from around the world, with many making their debut appearances.

AERO Asia 2025 will run from November 27 to 30, and will also include model aircraft and drone competitions as well as VR flight experiences to engage the public. The expo will also present a joint aerobatic performance by the South African and Chinese teams, offering spectators a thrilling and dynamic aerial spectacle.
