Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) John Lee on Thursday said that the fires in the seven buildings in Tai Po have been brought under control. The fires resulted in at least 55 deaths and 76 injuries. The Hong Kong SAR government will provide over 1,800 beds for affected residents.
