Severe storms have hit Thailand, leaving 33 people dead and 2.7 million affected.

Southern Songkhla's Hat Yai City saw record-breaking rainfall – 335 mm in a single day, the highest in 300 years. The government has declared an emergency amid growing risks of landslides. The country's navy has deployed its light aircraft carrier and 14 ships for rescue missions.
