Two nonagenarians share their thoughts on China's new era, the Taiwan region

Ninety-five-year-old Wang Kechang and 96-year-old Zhang Xiuju watched the grand military parade in September with tears of joy. They have lived through the nation's extraordinary transformation from wartime suffering to lasting peace "faster than a high-speed train," they say. Zhang said she looks forward to Taiwan's return to China. This lifelong hope reflects the shared dream of hundreds of millions of Chinese people for the complete reunification and great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. From the flames of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression to today's journey toward national rejuvenation, history will continue to prove that no force can ever stop China's advance toward achieving full national unity and renewal.
