China continued to lead Group A in the qualifiers for next year's AFC Under-17 Asian Cup, securing 12 points from their first four matches after crushing Sri Lanka 8-0 at home in Chongqing.

In the 12th minute, Zhang Xuyao's header was blocked, but Zhao Songyuan was there for the follow-up. He opened the scoring for the second game in a row, marking his 10th goal in just three games.

In the 30th minute, Zhang scored again by firing in from a tight angle. With four minutes to go until the break, Kuang Zhaolai was in the right place at the right time, giving China a 3-0 lead at halftime.

The hosts added more goals in the second half, with substitute Wan Xiang scoring twice to complete the 8-0 victory.

China will next face Bangladesh, who also had four wins. The team only needed a draw to advance to the next stage.
