At the ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Tour in the Netherlands, the second day of competition concluded with the men's 5000-meter relay quarterfinals. China claimed the top spot in their group, advancing to the semifinals.
The Chinese team, composed of Li Wenlong, Lim Hyo-jun, Zhang Bohao, and Liu Shaolin, competed in the second heat. Their main challengers were Belgium and Great Britain. In the early stages of the race, China held back but gradually moved to the front. In the second half, all three teams pushed hard for the two available semifinal spots. In the final ten laps, China pulled ahead, finishing first in 6 minutes 45.279 seconds. Belgium narrowly beat Great Britain by just 0.015 seconds to join China in the next round.

In the men's 1000-meter heats, Liu Shaoang led his group and advanced directly to the next round. Lin Xiaojun also moved on. Sun Long did not qualify directly but won his repechage heat, keeping his hopes alive for the quarterfinals.
