The 2025 Honor of Kings KPL Grand Final took place at China's National Stadium ("Bird's Nest") in Beijing earlier in November, drawing a crowd of 62,196 fans, the highest attendance ever recorded for a single esports competition. Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi Esports Federation, attended the event and spoke with CGTN Sports Scene's Greg Laffradi about the rapid growth of China's esports industry and also reflected on how esports has become a cultural force that brings people together.
