More vehicles from the so-called "China Red" 4K/8K ultra-high-definition broadcast fleet dispatched by CMG (China Media Group) will depart China for Italy on Monday, in the continuing buildup to the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.
Two broadcast vehicles and two supporting vehicles, which arrived at Port of Taicang in east China's Jiangsu Province last month, will be shipped to Italy on the large photovoltaic and liquefied natural gas dual-fuel car carrier Yuan Hai Kou.
Measuring 199.9 meters in length, the vessel weighs 68,252 tons and features 12 vehicle decks. The carrier will take the Mediterranean Sea Lane and arrive in Italy in about 25 days.
The vehicles are expected to reach the San Siro Stadium in Milan on January 13, 2026, to provide technical support at the Opening Ceremony and produce 8K international video signals during the Winter Olympics slated for February 6-22.
