Nikkei Asia, a major Japanese financial newspaper, expressed concern on Saturday over the growing cancellations of Japan-bound flights from China in December, amid a travel warning by the Chinese government in response to Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's recent ill-intentioned remarks regarding Taiwan. It warned that the Japanese tourism industry could sustain major losses going forward if relations between the two countries continued to sour.
