Snow and strong winds covered roads in Grand Rapids, Michigan, early on November 30 as a winter storm moved across the U.S. Midwest. More than 50 million people nationwide are under winter weather alerts, and the U.S. National Weather Service says winter-like conditions will affect much of the country through December 2, with another system expected to bring rain, thunderstorms, and a wintry mix from the Gulf Coast to the Northeast.
