Legendary football star Zinedine Zidane visits China

Legendary football star Zinedine Zidane kicked off his much-anticipated China tour in late November, seven years after his last visit, captivating fans with a blend of football insights and cultural explorations.

The French football great visited Shanghai and participated in a series of promotional events for the upcoming World Cup. He then went to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where he gave a masterclass to young players from the university and Qibao High School.

Beyond football, Zidane embraced Chinese culture, even trying his hand at shuttlecock kicking with local residents in Shanghai. During his last visit to China, the football icon was spotted watching Chinese people play mahjong. Zidane reflected on that experience in a recent interview, saying that he had always wanted to learn more about Chinese culture.
