Talks in Moscow on Tuesday between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. presidential special envoy Steve Witkoff – joined by Trump adviser Jared Kushner – were "constructive," but with "more work to do," according to Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov. He said no compromise was reached on Ukraine's territorial concessions.
Kirill Dmitriev, Russia's top economic envoy, also described the meeting as "productive"on social media on Wednesday.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday urged transparency in ongoing efforts to end the Ukraine crisis. He emphasized that there are no simple solutions to the crisis, and underscored that he is prepared to make necessary decisions.
