China's Ministry of Commerce on Thursday welcomed the European Union's decision to terminate its World Trade Organization (WTO) dispute case against China over restrictive trade measures.
China has consistently maintained that the EU's case lacked a basis, and its decision to end the proceedings was the right choice, a ministry official told reporters.
The official emphasized that China has always strictly adhered to WTO rules and will continue to take concrete actions to firmly uphold the rules-based multilateral trading system.
