Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng holds video call with U.S. treasury secretary, trade representative

Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng, also China's lead person for China-U.S. economic and trade affairs, held a video call on Friday with U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer.

According to the Xinhua New Agency, the two sides conducted in-depth and constructive exchanges on implementing the important consensus reached during the Busan meeting between the two heads of state as well as their November 24 phone call.

The phone call also focused on advancing pragmatic cooperation and properly addressing mutual concerns in the economic and trade field.

Both sides expressed positive assessments of the implementation of the outcomes of the China-U.S. economic and trade consultations in Kuala Lumpur and affirmed their commitments, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, to continue leveraging the China-U.S. economic and trade consultation mechanism, expanding the list of cooperative initiatives, narrowing the list of problems and promoting sustained, stable and positive development of China-U.S. economic and trade relations.
