Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday arrived in New Delhi, India, where, in a departure from protocol, he was personally welcomed at the airport by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a hug. Senior ministers including Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, and a large business delegation arrived with Putin, and possible deals on fighter jets and air defense systems are expected to be discussed.
