A heartwarming chapter in the China–France friendship comes full circle as giant pandas Huan Huan and Yuan Zi return to Chengdu after 13 years in France.

Arriving at the Beauval Zoo in 2012, the pair became symbols of cultural exchange and quickly won the hearts of the French public. During their stay, they welcomed three cubs – Yuan Meng in 2017 and twin sisters Huan Lili and Yuan Dudu in 2021 — turning the family into true stars of the zoo.

Now back in Sichuan, Huan Huan and Yuan Zi are settling into their new home, carrying with them a story of shared care, cooperation and enduring friendship between China and France.
