To mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), the UN Theme Group on Disability in China hosted a unique event in Beijing on Wednesday. Attendees ordered coffee using sign language from baristas with hearing impairments. The initiative highlighted the importance of creating multiple communication channels in public spaces and workplaces to ensure the full and equal participation of persons with disabilities.
