In 2010, Wuzhizhou Island in south China's Hainan Province began developing a marine ranch and conducting ecological restoration of its coral reefs. As Hainan's first national-level marine ranch demonstration area, it has achieved remarkable ecological, economic and social outcomes through the "ecology+tourism" green development pattern.
