In response to Japan's claims of so-called "radar illumination" by Chinese carrier-based aircraft, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Monday that China's exercises and training in the relevant maritime and airspace areas are conducted in accordance with international law and practice. He added that the operations are professional, standardized and beyond reproach.
Guo also strongly urged Japan to immediately halt its dangerous interference with China’s normal training activities and to stop spreading irresponsible false reports and engaging in political manipulation.
