Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng called on China and the U.S. to keep lengthening the list of cooperation and keep shortening the list of problems during a meeting with Craig Allen, president of the U.S.-China Business Council, in Beijing on Tuesday.
He said the Chinese and U.S. presidents have had several phone conversations and held a successful meeting in Busan, reaching a series of important understandings.
Guided by the strategic leadership of the two presidents, both sides should stay on the right course, maintain the momentum of cooperation, keep expanding the list of cooperation, and keep narrowing the list of problems, He added.
As China approaches the first year of its 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), it will continue to pursue high-standard opening up and welcome more U.S. companies to invest and operate in China, with a view to promoting the steady, healthy and sustainable development of China-U.S. economic and trade relations, the vice premier said.
Allen spoke positively of the outcomes of the presidential meeting and said he was ready to play a bridging role and continue advancing deeper economic and trade cooperation between the U.S. and China.
