Northwest China's Xinjiang is officially in ski mode!

Fukang City's alpine resort, tucked beneath the stunning Tianshan Mountains, just opened its 2025–2026 season – and skiers from all over the country are rushing in. At 1,200 meters above sea level, this spot is known for perfect snow conditions, mild winter weather and incredible views. 

And this year, it's more than just skiing. The local tourism team has rolled out a new "snow + culture" experience: think hot-pot feasts in the snow, ethnic dance performances and hands-on intangible cultural heritage activities.
