Japanese professor: Politicians shifting blame to deflect from dire situation

A "Takaichi-cost" following wrongful remarks by Japan's PM Sanae Takaichi is hitting the country's economy in recent weeks. Speaking to CMG, Tanaka Hiroshi, professor emeritus of Hitotsubashi University, said Japan's society is facing economic difficulties, with wages stagnating but prices continuing to rise. He added that at times like these, when people are frustrated, politicians often look for somewhere to shift blame.
