China's future global communicators shine in language contest

The 2025 National College Foreign Language Contest has wrapped up in Beijing. More than 4,000 finalists competed under the theme "Understanding Contemporary China" by telling China's story in their own words and building bridges through language.

Organized by Beijing Foreign Studies University and hosted by the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, the contest drew over 720,000 students nationwide, aiming to shape the next generation of global communicators. CGTN reporter Yang Yan has filed this report from the competition venue.
