There is no need for the Japanese side to be so nervous and dramatic about China and Russia's joint air patrol, said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun at a press briefing in Beijing on Thursday.

Guo made the remarks in response to a media inquiry about the joint strategic air patrol over the East China Sea and the Western Pacific on Tuesday, which was the 10th such mission between the Chinese and Russian armies since 2019.
