Updated 2025.12.11 09:00 GMT+8

Climate change is already transforming the way the world grows and accesses food. How are heatwaves, droughts, and floods affecting harvests today, and what will it take to build more resilient food systems for tomorrow? In this episode of The Hub, Wang Guan speaks with Richard Choularton, director for Climate and Resilience at the World Food Programme (WFP), and Raphael Leão, programme policy officer for Latin America and the Caribbean with the WFP in Panama. Together, they explore how climate pressures are driving the global food crisis and discuss what countries can do to strengthen resilience in the most vulnerable regions as the United Nations Environment Assembly meets this week in Nairobi.
