Thai-Cambodian border sees shelling, over 60,000 evacuated in Surin province

Intense artillery fire continues to shake Thailand's Surin province as a new round of conflict erupted along the Thai-Cambodian border on December 7. Residents report homes damaged by shells fired from the Cambodian side, with one house in the village hit on December 9. No casualties have been reported. According to Thailand's local authorities, over 60,000 residents from Surin province have evacuated to temporary shelters, including facilities set up on university campuses, as tensions remain high on the frontline.
