China's economy will continue to pursue high-quality development in the next stage and further benefit both China and the world, said Lawrence Loh, director of the Center for Governance and Sustainability at the National University of Singapore Business School.
Loh has been closely following China's Central Economic Work Conference, which was held in Beijing from December 10 to 11, as Chinese leaders decided priorities for the economic work in 2026. He said China's economic performance this year has been "very commendable," noting that the country has managed to deliver strong results despite global uncertainties and challenges in the trade environment.
