2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the broader fight against fascism worldwide.

Wang Sung-Po is a Taiwan compatriot who currently lives in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province. His parents were veterans of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, while he was in the military as well. Sharing his family story with CGTN Stringer, Wang mentions that his father's generation cherished the peace after witnessing a lot of upheavals. He pays tribute to the sacrifices made by those veterans and martyrs for the country and the nation.
