As a core host city for China's 15th National Games, 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and 9th National Special Olympic Games, Shenzhen has integrated technological innovations into every aspect of event organization, turning technology into a dual engine for enhancing both the quality of the events and the vitality of the city.

Last Sunday's Shenzhen Marathon got underway at the Civic Center, as 30,000 runners embarked on a 42.195-kilometer journey. The Shenzhen-Hong Kong cross-border marathon utilized a triple verification system of "facial recognition + wristband positioning" to achieve "zero-delay" seamless clearance.

Photographers equipped with 5G-A live-streaming backpacks enabled ultra-high-definition live broadcasts of the marathon. In key venues like sports centers, intelligent scheduling systems were deployed to ensure stable network performance, as technology empowered more efficient event operations.

All venues in the Shenzhen division are 100% powered by green electricity sourced from renewable energy, including wind and solar power, demonstrating a tangible commitment to energy conservation and carbon reduction.

The robot possesses visual environment perception capabilities, allowing it to autonomously navigate to its destination, dynamically avoid obstacles and recognize traffic lights.

Throughout 2025, Shenzhen hosted contests in professional leagues like the Chinese Super League and CBA, along with selected events during the 15th National Games.

With more than 300 sports activities scheduled throughout the year, the city hosts a high-level competition nearly every three days. This year, Shenzhen's sports industry is projected to achieve a total output of 230 billion yuan, with added value exceeding 100 billion yuan.
