As the border conflict between Cambodia and Thailand continues, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Monday that China supports direct dialogue and consultation between Cambodia and Thailand, supports the mediation efforts of ASEAN, particularly Malaysia, and advocates finding a mutually acceptable solution within the ASEAN framework. He also emphasized that China will continue to make every effort to promote peace and dialogue, playing a constructive role in its own way to help broker a ceasefire and restore peace.
