The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Monday issued countermeasures against Shigeru Iwasaki, former chief of staff of the Self-Defense Forces of Japan, over collusion with "Taiwan independence" separatist forces.
China has frozen Iwasaki's properties, prohibited his transactions and cooperation with organizations and individuals within China, and barred him from Chinese soil, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
