How China-Africa cooperation boosts global agricultural research

Developing new crop varieties is essential to improving yields – and, in turn, a country's food and economic security. In China's southernmost province of Hainan, year-round warm weather creates ideal conditions for breeding experiments. Alongside Chinese scientists, many international researchers, particularly from Africa, study and train there.
