The 2025 International Forum on Mutual Learning among Civilizations will open tomorrow, December 16, in the Macao Special Administrative Region (Macao SAR). The two-day forum, running from December 16 to 17, will bring together over 50 representatives from government departments, international organizations, and leading experts and scholars from nearly 10 countries.
Leong Wai Man, Director of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR government, stated that 2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the Historic Center of Macao's inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List. She hopes that by hosting the forum in Macao, global experts and scholars will have the opportunity to witness firsthand the city's centuries-long East-West cultural convergence and integration, and help spread these unique characteristics.
