The Liaoning Flying Leopards beat reigning CBA champions the Guangsha Lions 95-79 at home on Monday, securing their second straight win of the season.

Liaoning built a solid 26-18 lead from the first quarter and kept extending it thanks to the dominant performance by Dez Wells who scored 30 points for the home side. Four of his teammates also contributed double-digit points.

Hu Jinqiu was the only one on the visiting side who could provide consistent offensive firepower as he made 10 of his 13 field goals for 24 points. By contrast, Barry Brown had 17 points, but missed 13 of his 18 shots. Rayjon Tucker scored 12 of his 14 points at the free throw line.

Guangsha began to heat up from the three-point line to rally in the fourth quarter, but Liaoning made quick responses with consecutive triples to seal the deal.

In the two other games, the Qingdao Eagles crushed the Sichuan Blue Whales 96-64 and the Beijing Ducks cruised past the Xinjiang Flying Tigers 111-84.
