This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Palace Museum. In September, the first two courtyards of the Ningshou Palace Garden — better known as the Qianlong Garden — opened to the public for the first time, offering a rare look at its exquisitely crafted architecture. The Qianlong Garden — is nestled in the northeast corner of the Forbidden City. Emperor Qianlong commissioned it as his dream retreat for when he retired. Its restoration was a joint effort by the World Monuments Fund and the Palace Museum. CGTN reporter Yang Yan has more on this historic unveiling.
