In the aftermath of the Nanjing Massacre, countless acts of solidarity emerged around the world in support of the Chinese people. One remarkable story comes from Australia. In 1938, a group of Australian dockworkers refused to load iron onto a ship headed for Japan, believing it would be used to manufacture weapons against China. Their extraordinary 11-week stand became a powerful symbol of international justice and forged a bond between the Chinese and Australian people that continues to be honored today.
