China supports Venezuela's request to convene an emergency UN Security Council meeting, said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun at a press briefing in Beijing on Thursday.

Guo was responding to a media query about Venezuela's request for an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council on the ongoing tensions with the United States.
