Chinese geologists have uncovered a new mineral composed of nickel, bismuth, antimony, arsenic, and sulfide in the Longhua nickel-cobalt deposit in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The mineral, named "Jinxiuite" after its location in Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County, provides a rare insight into the Earth's 4.6-billion-year evolution and may hold crucial implications for future material science.
