China's Fuman Oilfield, the country's largest ultra-deep oilfield, located in the Taklimakan Desert in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, has achieved a record annual output of 4.6 million tonnes of oil and gas, China National Petroleum Corporation announced on December 20. The milestone marks major progress in China's ultra-deep oil and gas development and energy security.
