Former Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong says most Asian countries do not view China as a threat. He notes that while some nations, such as Japan, retain concerns linked to territorial disputes and wartime history, many across the region see China as an economic partner and a geographic reality. Lee adds that Asia's prosperity has expanded alongside China's development, driven by trade, investment, tourism and increasingly close people-to-people exchanges.
