Verified by the World Record Certification Agency (WRCA), the Lhalu Wetland National Nature Reserve has been confirmed as the "highest-altitude natural urban wetland." The certification ceremony was held at the wetland in Lhasa, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, on Saturday.

Located in the urban area of Lhasa, the wetland covers 12.2 square kilometers at an average altitude of 3,649 meters.
