As 2025 draws to a close, Chinese film market is booming. "Zootopia 2" has drawn massive Chinese audiences, racking up more than two billion yuan (about $283 million) at China's box office and breaking multiple records. This also works the other way around with a new surge of "Chinese films going global" underway, American film producer Dede Nickerson told CGTN's Tian Wei. Chinese movies and homegrown animation flicks are building momentum as they gain traction overseas.
